Jay Sean, Sonu Nigam collaborate
YMCMB’s very own global superstar, Jay Sean, has revealed a collaboration with Bollywood singer, Sonu Nigam. The British Asian sensation explained I’ve been a huge fan of Sonu Nigam since a long time. I love Bollywood music and listen to it regularly. I’ve always liked Sonu’s voice. So when I met him recently, we decided to work together.
The song, titled 'The One,' is expected to be released next month.
Jay said: "I recorded my part of the song in the US. Sonu did his bit in India itself.”
Jay may also be doing more Indian collaborations in the future: "I like singers like Adnan Sami and Udit Narayan for their voice. In the future, I plan to work in India more often. So you never know, I may be working with more Indian singers soon.”
The single, titled The One, is set to be released sometime next month. With Jay recording in the States, and Sonu in India, the collaboration looks to be a tasteful blend of the two cultures. Jaywent on to say he would not shy away from further collaborations with Indian singers, stating I like singers like Adnan Sami and Udit Narayan for their voice. In the future, I plan to work in India more. So you never know; I may be working with more Indian singers soon!
